What happens between today and the first can.

  1. April 2026

    Company incorporation

    We incorporated the company in the Netherlands. Legal paperwork done.

  2. July 2026

    First tastings

    The first samples arrive. Four flavours on the table, notebooks out, and a lot of opinions.

  3. September 2026

    Trip to the factory/lab

    A week with our manufacturer fine-tuning the formula: how much mate goes in and how the caffeine ramps up.

  4. September 2026

    Production begins

    The first batch starts. Four flavours in 330 ml cans. It finishes between October and November.

  5. December 2026

    Launch

    In December 2026 the store opens at regular price. Pre-Sale orders go out first: they were paid for before there was a single can in the warehouse.

What you are probably wondering.

In late 2026, when the first batch leaves the warehouse. Pre-Sale orders go out first.
You pick your pack of 12 cans (€24.90) or 24 (€44.90) and pay today. Shipping is free from €39, so the 24-Pack includes it and the 12 adds €2.90. It reaches you in late 2026, in the very first batch out of the warehouse. With the Pack 24 you also get a 25% code for your next purchase after the public launch.
You have 14 days from delivery to return it for a full refund, no questions asked. You start it yourself from My orders → Manage order → Request a return.
The pre-sale continues, but without the 25%. That code is only generated for orders placed up to 31 October. The store opens at regular price in December, same pack, same cans.
We ship across Europe. If your country isn't at checkout, we don't ship there yet, so email info@wematedrink.com and we'll tell you when we expand.
1.25% brewed yerba mate, the same in all four flavours. We infuse the whole leaf in Europe; we do not use powder extract.
Yes, lightly. Just enough carbonation to lift the flavour — nowhere near a soft drink.
Most mate drinks in Europe are made from powdered extract. We brew the whole yerba leaf. It costs more and takes longer, but it tastes like mate, not like dissolved powder.
